New Features - February 2025

Below are some new features that we've added to the route planner.

Background Bike Trails Layer

We've added a toggleable layer showing all bike trails from OpenStreetMap. You can turn it on or off by clicking the "p" key on your keyboard. This background layer makes it easier to follow specific trails.

Surface Around Clicked Point

We've introduced an experimental feature that displays the surface type around any point you click. This is particularly useful when your route includes dirt or gravel segments but you prefer to stick to paved surfaces. To display the surface around a point: right click on the map and then select "Surface around" from the menu.

Undo/Redo

You don't need to worry about misclicks anymore! You can now undo up to 20 changes to your route.
