Stretching 39 miles from the base of the San Gabriel Mountains to the Pacific Ocean, the San Gabriel River Trail offers cyclists a great journey through the diverse landscapes east of Los Angeles. This fully paved path winds through more than a dozen communities, providing an interesting perspective on Southern California's urban and natural environments.

Trail Characteristics

The trail begins in Azusa at Gabriel Canyon Road and concludes at River's End Park in Seal Beach, following a channelized river through an exceptionally varied terrain. Cyclists will experience a dramatic transition from mountain-adjacent landscapes to industrial areas, ultimately reaching the ocean.
