The Ciclovia dei Parchi della Calabria offers cyclists a 545-kilometer journey through the heart of southern Italy's most spectacular landscapes. Stretching from Laino Borgo to Reggio Calabria, this Apennine route weaves through four unique national parks: Pollino, Sila, Serre, and Aspromonte.

Route Characteristics

Cyclists will navigate a challenging terrain with a total elevation gain of 10,240 meters and descent of 10,510 meters. The route reaches its pinnacle at 1,565 meters near Lake Arvo in Sila Park, before descending to sea level in Reggio Calabria. Riders will experience a dramatic landscape transformation, from dense pine forests and serene mountain lakes to olive-covered hills and glimpses of the Ionian and Tyrrhenian seas.
